DJ wise it’s easier naming a DJ that HASN’T played at Sankeys such as been its sterling impact. The Chemical Brothers cut their teeth DJing in the club, Danny Tenaglia has heralded it as one of the few UK clubs he will still play at (and for twelve hours at a time!), whilst the likes of Carl Cox, Francois K, Sasha, Eddie Halliwell, Andy C and Grandmaster Flash have all graced the Ancoats decks in the past.
With 2011 coming to the end and us welcoming DJs such has Dixon, Ellen Allien, Miguel Campbell, Chez Damier, Kerri Chandler, Laura Jones ans many more, 2012 is shaping up to be even better.
Not bad for a building which began life as disused mill well off the beaten track from Manchester’s city centre, a relic of the city’s heritage and debt to the Industrial Revolution. Now boasting a world-beating sound system across each of its rooms, a state of the art lighting system and a booking policy for the DJs that continues the pedigree with which it built its name upon, Sankeys is the epitome of Twenty First century clubbing.
In this section you will find information on some of the current DJs that call Sankeys home.
